Almighty Concept is a small studio built around a single cast-iron platen press. It is a mid-century machine, heavy for its size, and it prints one sheet at a time whether you are in a hurry or not.
We did not choose it for nostalgia. We chose it because relief printing does something offset cannot: it pushes the paper. Ink sits in a valley you can feel with a thumbnail, and the edge of every letter catches the light slightly differently depending on where you hold it. That is the whole product. Everything else we do is in service of it.
Six and a half by ten inches.
That is the size of the chase — the frame the type locks into — and it is the hard limit on everything in the shop. It is why we make A2 cards, place cards, name tags, calling cards and A7 invitations, and why we will tell you to go somewhere else for a poster.
A constraint that specific turns out to be useful. It settles a lot of arguments about what a piece should be before they start.
Painted first, pressed second.
Watercolor is mixed each morning and washed onto the sheet by hand before anything is printed. It dries unevenly, pools at the edges, and behaves differently on cotton than on linen — which is the point. Two cards from the same run are relatives, not copies.
Once the ground is dry the sheet goes onto the press and takes the impression. The order matters: press first and the watercolor would sit in the debossed valleys and pool there.

Flat $5 anywhere in the US, free over $75. Ready-to-ship pieces leave in 2–3 business days. Made-to-order work ships on the timeline shown on each product.
Proofs
Anything personalised gets a PDF proof before it goes on press. Changes are free until you approve it. After that the type is locked and a change is a reprint.
Returns
Unused, non-personalised pieces can come back within 30 days. Personalised and custom work is final sale once you approve the proof — it is set for you and cannot be resold.
